My six favorites free SEO Tools

When it comes to create a successful blog, I consider vital three factors:

1)      Social media:  Won’t get too long if you don’t have any help.

2)      Marketing: Not only internet or social media marketing. You need to market your content so you can give it a value and have visitors to come back each day, keyword research…

3)      SEO: Organic traffic can make the difference in terms of revenue, as you get targeted traffic 100% guaranteed.

That’s why I’ve decided to start with the SEO section showing you my five free SEO tools.

1)      No dofollow Firefox plugin: As you know, nofollow links doesn’t avoid a SEO robot to follow that link, but it does prevent to pass SEO juice (reputation) to it.

Although nowadays almost all blog uses nofollow tags on links (comments and even on their (prepaid) ‘Featured Links’ section, it would be interesting to know whether a site uses or not nofollow tag, right?

Well, the no dofollow Firefox plugin does the job for you. Instead of checking the source code of each site looking for the nofollow tag, this plugin allow us to see (using two colors: red for nofollow links and blue for dofollow’s) if a particular site shares or not SEO juice.

2)      Google Ranking Checker: Although Google’s continuously updating their rankings, it’s necessary to check and track our ranks quite frequently to perform a good SEO campaign.

Instead of going directly to Google, type the keyword and go page after page looking for our site to finally appear, Backlink checker tells our position just by entering our url and keyword.

Just keep in mind results are always changing so it may not be accurate –anyway, if it doesn’t gives you the exact position, check two positions above and under, your site will be there- but still it’s one of my favorite tools.

3)      All in One SEO WordPress plugin: If you haven’t download this plugin yet, or even worse, if you haven’t heard about this plugin yet, you’ve been living under a rock.

All in One plugin gives us the possibility to easily trick our site’ SEO using their simple control panel.

And that’s not only for the homepage. When installing it, a new control panel will appear under the “Posts” options, within your wordpress Dashboard, so you can easily perform a page-by-page SEO optimization with two clicks.

4)      Adword external keyword tool: This is a MUST if you’re thinking about creating a new site.

The first important step for creating a successful online business is to make some keyword research, and there’s no better –free- way to do it than using Google Adword’s Keyword Tool.

Not only it will give you the amount of searches per month, but you can also choose the amount of queries for a particular region / country, which is awesome to better target the audience and know what to expect.

5)      SEO for Firefox by SEO Tools: Apart from checking our rankings, another big must when it comes to SEO is to keep track of our competitors movements. And that’s why SEO Tools have made this amazing plugin for Firefox.

This plugin will show us a huge amount of data, such huge that you must check it yourself.

6) Backlink Checker : To overtake other site in SE rankings, you need to have a better SEO optimized site, but also more backlinks or less backlinks but that those come from sites that have high reputation.

The backlink checker will give you the exact backlink url, so you don’t have any excuses now to go and hunt your competitors!

Those are my favorite free SEO Tools, but even though it’s not free, I also use the tools from. which provides some programs to check our sites SEO level (giving us a percentage to let us know how well SEO optimized our site is) to check our rankings (on Google, Bing, Yahoo…) checking competitors backlinks, Pagerank… I really think it worth a shot even though the programs are limited versions if you’re willing to use them for free.
