3 killed as microbus hits Kamarkhande bridge railing

Three occupants of a microbus were killed when it lost control and hit the railing of a bridge in Sirajganj’s Kamarkhand; At least eight others were injured.

Mosaddek Hossain, OC of Bangabandhu Setu West Police Station, said that the accident took place at Jhail over bridge area on Bangabandhu Setu West Link Highway on Monday at around 10:30 PM.

After this accident, there was a traffic jam on the highway. Traffic jams were also seen in the city’s Dhaka Road and Bazar Station areas due to the detours of various vehicles on the Mulibari-Chandaikona road.

A woman named Panna Khatun (48) was found among the dead. Panna is the daughter of Jahangir Hossain of Banpara of Baraigram upazila of Natore. The other two people have not been identified.
