Tecno Mobile releases the new Pop 6 Pro with a fine design but low specs

Tecno Mobile brings a new lower-budget smartphone for Bangladeshi consumers namely Tecno Pop 6 Pro. The device is priced at ৳10,490 for the 2/32 GB variant.
Design is one of the strongest selling points for any smartphone in the Bangladeshi market. It is true, especially for lower-budget smartphones. Pop 6 Pro gets a very good mark in terms of that. The design looks stylish both on the front and on the back. The back side has no fingerprint sensor as it is mounted on the side which is a fairly advanced feature for a phone at this price level. This gives a more minimal, trendy and simplistic look to it. There are also some strikethroughs that give it a more unique look. The display is a 6.6 inches HD+ one. So, it gets a good mark in terms of the display as well.
The 8 MP main back camera and the 5 MP front camera are nothing special. It is more on the average side but they will do the job. You may find some better cameras for the price from other brands such as Symphony Z33 or Walton Primo HM7. Point to be noted that the price of any phone is subject to change at any time.
The same goes for the performance. The above-mentioned phones will provide you with much higher performance with A Unisoc T610 chipset (see chipset comparison in nanoreview), octa-core CPU and 3 GB RAM compared to Tecno Pop 6 Pro’s low-performance MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, quad-core CPU and 2 GB RAM. The plain truth is that Tecno Pop 6 Pro is way overpriced when it comes to its camera or performance. Yes, it comes with a fine design and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. We also have a 5000 mAh big battery. But it doesn’t cover up for the lack of performance and camera quality when it comes to value for money.
